A vintage Peter Pan portable folding gramophone, designed to mimic the aesthetic of a contemporary folding camera of the 1920s. The unit is housed in a rectangular case featuring a brown and gold textured reptile-effect covering. The internal construction includes a collapsible resonator horn and a detachable nickel-plated curved tone arm and soundbox. The gramophone is equipped with a winding handle with a turned wooden knob and includes a small lithographed tin for Knockout Needles, marked Made in England. An ivory-coloured celluloid identification plaque is affixed to the interior, inscribed PETER PAN GRAMOPHONE PATENT NOS. 226, 015 – 705313 AND ADD. WORLDS PATENTS PENDING. The exterior of the case is fitted with two metal tension latches, a winding aperture, external control levers, and a leather carry handle.
