A French rectangular pewter flask, . The front face features a detailed relief-cast genre scene in the seventeenth-century style, depicting several figures within a tavern setting amongst barrels. The flask is designed with rounded shoulders and a cylindrical screw-cap. The side of the body is stamped with a cursive mark reading Etain 95 per cent, indicating the piece is made from a high-purity pewter alloy. A manufacturing seam is visible running vertically along the side edges.
