A desk lamp of piano or bankers style, constructed from polished brass-plated metal. The lamp features a rectangular trough-shaped hood shade with a curved upper surface and a reflective interior panel designed to direct light downwards. The shade is supported by a single, slender curved tubular arm fixed to a stepped rectangular base. It is wired with a gold-coloured plastic-coated flex, an in-line plastic thumb switch, and a modern white UK three-pin fused plug. The bulb holder is a B22 bayonet cap fitting. No maker marks or labels are visible on the shade or base.
