This collection comprises a three-piece Japanese porcelain service, a group of green-patterned teaware, a transfer-printed earthenware plate, and a cut-crystal vase. The Japanese service consists of a large lidded pot, a lidded sugar bowl, and a lidded creamer, all of bulbous form with tiered lids and scrolled handles. Each piece is decorated with a sepia-toned transfer-printed oriental landscape featuring pagodas, bridges, and trees, accented with gilded rims and highlights. The lid finials are finished with hand-applied blue enamel accents. The additional teaware includes a porcelain cup and two matching saucers featuring a green transfer-printed garland of flowers and foliage. Also included is a circular earthenware plate with a black transfer-printed tavern scene depicting figures in historical costume, and a clear cut-crystal vase of waisted form with vertical and cross-cut patterns.
