This lot comprises a collection of British ceramic items featuring various decorative styles and manufacturing techniques common to the 19th and early 20th centuries. The group includes a majolica earthenware teapot designed with a relief-molded cabbage leaf body, finished in green glaze with applied pink floral blossoms and a branch-form handle and spout. Also included is a medium-sized earthenware jug featuring an underglaze blue transfer-printed Chinoiserie landscape in the Willow style, accented with orange luster highlights to the rim and scrolled handle. A large cylindrical tankard is present, featuring deep relief-molded scenes of a thatched rural cottage and landscape under a mottled brown Rockingham style glaze. The collection further contains a partial tea service consisting of two lidded teapots and a cream jug. These pieces exhibit lobed, molded bodies and elaborate scroll handles. One teapot is decorated with prominent cobalt blue panels in the Imari style with hand-painted polychrome floral motifs, while the accompanying items feature smaller floral sprigs and gilt accents. The forms are consistent with production from Staffordshire potteries such as Fieldings Royal Crown Devon or Mason’s.
