A large Italian bisque porcelain figurine group by Giuseppe Cappe for Capodimonte. The composition depicts a romantic pastoral scene featuring a young man in an open blue coat and breeches leaning over a seated young woman. She is attired in a pink skirt and an orange bodice with lavender sleeves. A spaniel dog sits at their side upon a rocky base with applied foliage details. The entire group is mounted on a circular, polished wooden plinth. To the rear of the porcelain base is a blue underglaze crown above an N mark and a blue script signature for Giuseppe Cappe. A cardboard tag is attached by string to the male figure’s coat.
