A trio of framed maritime prints on board based on the works of the British marine painter John Wilson Carmichael. Each scene illustrates traditional sailing vessels, including luggers and merchant ships, traversing turbulent coastal waters under expansive, cloud-filled skies in a 19th-century Romantic style. The prints are mounted to board and presented in matching substantial decorative frames. These frames are constructed with a beaded gilt inner slip, a wide mottled dark-brown and gold-flecked cove, and a beaded outer gilt border. The versos are sealed with brown backing board and one retains the identification and publisher labels from Manuscript Limited.
