A Victorian lady’s hand letter clip cast in silver-toned metal. The upper sprung section is modelled as a feminine hand wearing a ring on the middle finger, emerging from an ornate flared cuff with intricate raised lace and scroll patterns. This hand serves as a clamp against a heart-shaped base plate featuring a textured ground and a raised foliate border. The reverse is fitted with a mounting plate containing a circular aperture, allowing the piece to be used flat on a desk or wall-mounted.
Length: 10.8 cm.
