A late Victorian? hall chair of architectural form, constructed from dark-stained oak? with a solid timber seat. The chair features a prominent pedimented crest rail elaborately carved with scrolling foliage and floral motifs. The backrest is designed with a central square panel featuring a deep-carved stylized sunflower? or rosette within a geometric border, positioned between two upright rails. The structure is supported by a pair of turned front legs and two square-section raked rear legs. Traditional mortise and tenon joinery is visible on the back frame, with the seat fixed to the frame with a slight overhang.
