A George III? mahogany washstand of square form. The solid mahogany top features three circular apertures designed to accommodate the accompanying ceramic wash basin and smaller vessels. The stand is supported by four square legs, with a central tier containing a single frieze drawer featuring a small metal knob handle. The legs are united by a shaped X-frame cross-stretcher. The lot includes an assortment of ceramics comprising a large wash basin with blue and white floral transfer-printed decoration, a smaller white bowl, and a small blue and white jar with matching floral motifs. A white adhesive label on the interior of the white bowl is handwritten 9952. Another white adhesive label is partially visible on the lower front leg bearing the number 59.
