A modern stained oak grandfather clock of traditional longcase form, presented in as found condition. The case is constructed from stained oak featuring a broken-arch pediment hood and a long trunk door with a shaped top, finished with a brass handle and a yellow tassel. The interior back of the case displays a modern tongue-and-groove construction. The clock has a square cream-painted dial with an arched top, featuring a moon phase complication with a revolving disc depicting a moon face and two hemispherical maps of the world. The dial is set with black Roman numerals for the hours and Arabic numerals for the five-minute marks, and includes two subsidiary dials for seconds and date. The dial surface features a simulated craquelure finish and is inscribed Thompson Whitehaven. A paper label is affixed to the interior reading FRAGILE! THIS SIDE UP FRAGILE!
