A pair of white metal candlesticks of tapering, tiered form, designed in the manner associated with the Bezalel School of Arts and Crafts. Each vessel features a tulip-shaped socket with four pointed finials, some of which are fitted with small screw-in projections. The stem is constructed from graduated discs leading to a domed circular base, which is decorated with hand-chased and engraved architectural scenes depicting the walls of the Old City, palm trees, and stylised foliate motifs. An engraved Hebrew inscription to each base reads ‘ירושלים’, translating as ‘Jerusalem’. The surface exhibits general tarnish and areas of wear revealing a yellow-toned metal beneath.
