A collection of Silicon China earthenware dinnerware manufactured by Booths, decorated in the Real Old Willow pattern. The service features a traditional blue transfer-printed oriental landscape depicting pagodas, bridges, and willow trees, enclosed within elaborate geometric and diaper borders. The scalloped rims and handles are finished with hand-applied gilt effect highlights. This extensive service comprises a large oval lidded soup tureen surmounted by a pomegranate finial with a matching underplate, a lidded vegetable dish of rounded rectangular form, two twin-handled open sauceboats, a graduated series of oval meat platters, and multiple stacks of dinner, dessert, and side plates, together with a group of small dessert bowls. The underside of the pieces bears a blue transfer-printed mark featuring the word BOOTHS above a crown, with SILICON CHINA and MADE IN ENGLAND below, and Real Old Willow in a cursive script. Hand-painted pattern numbers 7247 in orange-red and impressed or painted characters 7 and L are also visible to some bases.
