The faceplate bears the inscription GW Instek SFG-2104 Synthesized Function Generator. The control layout includes a numeric keypad, a large rotary frequency dial, and dedicated function buttons for MHz, kHz, Hz/%, Shift, AM, Ext Mod, Duty, -20dB, TTL, FM, Sweep, Store, Counter, Default, and Recall.
