This collection consists of multiple glazed and hand-painted porcelain spill vases produced in the nineteenth-century German Thuringian style. The group contains two distinct pairs. The first pair comprises three-cup spill vases modelled as large yellow tulip-form blossoms on green foliage bases, with each featuring a female figure in eighteenth-century attire with floral-patterned skirts. The second pair consists of smaller spill vases featuring a young man in a blue coat and floral breeches and a young woman in a blue dress and hat. These smaller vases are formed as single tree trunks adorned with hand-applied pink roses and green leaves. All pieces are constructed from slip-cast porcelain with hand-applied floral elements. The smaller figurines bear simplified blue underglaze crossed marks on the scrolls of the white bases.
