An Anglo-Indian style carved hardwood magazine rack, constructed from a dark-stained wood, possibly teak or sheesham. The piece features a central shelf supported by two side panels and a backboard, all decorated with intricate deep relief carving and pierced fretwork. The carvings depict foliate motifs and a central radiating fan or sunburst design. A single turned wooden rail is positioned below the shelf, suitable for use as a towel rack or for displaying textiles. The edges of the panels are decoratively scalloped.
