A large 19th-century porcelain three-light candelabrum, featuring a central column modelled with a seated female figure in classical-style dress and a young putto. The female figure’s gown is decorated with hand-painted polychrome floral sprays and gilt accents. The piece is heavily embellished with hand-modelled applied flowers, including roses in shades of pink and yellow with green foliage. Three scrolling branches emerge from the central stem, each terminating in a candle nozzle shaped as an opening blossom. The scrolling base is similarly decorated with applied floral elements and gilt highlights. The underside of the base bears a blue underglaze mark consisting of crossed swords with the number 26 above them, identifying the piece as being from the Meissen factory.
