A circular aneroid wall barometer dating from the late 19th or early 20th century. The instrument is housed in a carved oak case with a decorative border of twelve radiating petal motifs. The cream-coloured dial displays weather conditions in gothic script, including Stormy, RAIN, Change, FAIR, and Very Dry, alongside a barometric scale calibrated from 27 to 31 inches of mercury. The dial features an open centre revealing the internal brass aneroid mechanism and is fitted with a blued-steel indicator hand and a brass setting hand under glass. The lower portion of the dial is inscribed with the retailer mark A. & N. C. S. Ld London. The reverse is finished with a circular metal cover plate and a metal hanging bracket.
