Buyer's Premium:

A three-piece mantel clock garniture in the French Louis XVI revival style, comprising a central clock and a pair of matching lidded side urns. The set is constructed from ornate gilt-metal, likely cast spelter, featuring elaborate foliate scrolls, floral swags, and mask motifs. The cases are inset with Sevres-style porcelain panels featuring a rich cobalt blue ground and gilded highlights. The central rectangular panel below the dial depicts a hand-painted romantic couple in 18th-century Fete galante attire against a landscape background, with similar scenes found on the bodies of the side urns. The circular gilt-metal dial features inset white porcelain cartouches with black Roman numerals and ornate pierced metal hands. The mechanical movement includes two winding holes, indicating time and strike functions. No maker marks are visible on the dial or exterior of the case. A small inventory label numbered 11932 is present on one urn.

Central clock width: approximately 42 cm.
