A contemporary composite sculpture of a female dancer in a dynamic reclining pose, after the Danseuse au Cothurne by Agathon Leonard. The figure is depicted wearing an elaborate, classical-style gown with ruffed sleeves and a pleated skirt. She wears a simple necklace with a triangular pendant and has her hair styled in a bun with a headband. The piece is finished in an off-white cream colour to resemble bisque porcelain. It is mounted on an integral cream-coloured base which is attached to a circular, stepped black base. The integral base bears an incised mark reading 1994 © G. Paoli.
