The rectangular assembly consists of a brass frame with integral out-swept handles, a removable top plate, and a central spirit burner. The top plate features a planished or hammered surface, providing a decorative textured finish. The frame is supported by four out-swept legs terminating in pad feet, which sit upon a rectangular base tray. The central spirit burner is formed from spun copper with brass components, including a wick adjustment lever. The piece is constructed with visible rivets and joints, typical of the functional design aesthetic of the early 20th century.
