This collection of ceramics and metalware includes a substantial dinner service by Royal Doulton, a boxed Aynsley cake set, and assorted small metal vessels. The Royal Doulton service is produced in the Hampton Court pattern, pattern number T.C. 1020, and is crafted from English Translucent China. The decoration features a refined transfer-printed pale blue border with white floral and foliate scrollwork, accented by gilded rims. The service comprises two circular lidded vegetable tureens with gilt-rimmed knops, a gravy boat with an integral oval stand, dinner plates, dessert plates, side plates, two-handled bouillon bowls with matching saucers, and tea cups and saucers. The base of the pieces bears a printed backstamp featuring a lion standing atop a crown above a circular mark containing a central four-petalled emblem, with text identifying the maker, pattern, and copyright information. The Aynsley boxed cake set is made of fine bone china and is decorated with a central multi-coloured fruit and floral spray, including peaches and berries, with matching border motifs and gilded scalloped edges. The set includes one circular cake plate and one matching stainless steel cake server with a china handle, presented in its original blue box. The metalware group includes four vessels, featuring a small ewer, a straight-sided mug, and two small footed containers, all showing a dull grey patina.
