An ornate rectangular silver-plated trinket box or table casket featuring high-relief repousse and chased decoration in the Anglo-Indian style. The exterior is divided into multiple panels depicting dense grapevines with clusters of fruit and broad leaves, set within scrolling foliate borders and beaded edges. Both the lid and the front panel feature central circular cartouches containing scrolled floral motifs. The box is fitted with a decorative shell-form thumbpiece to the front and sits on a flanged base with matching beaded decoration. The interior is lined with a plush red velvet. The underside of the lid reveals the reverse of the embossed exterior patterns. Small stamped marks are present on the inner front rim of the base but are not clearly legible for identification.
