An assortment of Japanese style polychrome miniature figurines, many of which are depicted in traditional shunga (erotic) poses. The figures are manufactured from a synthetic material such as resin, polystone, or celluloid, designed to mimic the appearance of carved ivory or bone. Each piece features detailed surface decoration, including traditional Japanese irezumi (tattoo) designs such as floral peonies and various geometric textile motifs, applied in a polychrome palette of red, blue, green, and black. The collection comprises both male and female figures, some of which are designed as partial forms or intended to be displayed as pairs. These items appear to be late 20th-century reproductions of traditional Japanese subjects.
