A mid-20th-century painted plaster (chalkware) figure depicting the legendary figure of Lady Godiva. The subject is rendered nude with long, dark hair, seated side-saddle upon a white horse. The horse is modelled with a decorative bridle and a green saddle cloth featuring a gold-coloured geometric border. The entire composition is mounted on an integral oblong base finished to simulate rocky ground. No maker’s marks or signatures are visible.
