A vintage Swiss made Thorens semi-automatic pocket lighter, known as the double claw model due to its distinctive lifting mechanism. The metal body features an engine-turned wavy pattern across both faces. The front face is detailed with a triangular emblem containing the engraved characters E.S. and REGD. The base is clearly stamped with the manufacturer mark THORENS within an oval, alongside REGD., BRIT.PAT. No 408916, and SWISS MADE. An additional marking on the lower edge reads SWISS MADE FAB. SUISSE. The lighter is shown with the mechanism open, revealing the wick and flint wheel assembly. This lot includes the original cardboard presentation box, which features a graphic illustration and the text THORENS (REGD.) and SWISS MADE FAB.
