A 9ct yellow gold novelty brooch modelled in the form of an early 20th-century landaulet motor car. The three-dimensional vehicle features articulated moving wheels and a rear canopy with pierced lettering reading BON VOYAGE. The side panels are detailed with a pierced horseshoe motif, and the front of the vehicle features a moulded radiator, bonnet, and oversized headlights. The underside of the car body bears a flat plate with hallmarks including 9 .375 for 9ct gold, an anchor for the Birmingham assay office, and the date letter m for 1961. A partial maker’s mark for A & Z Hayward Ltd is also present. The reverse is fitted with a horizontal hinged pin and a safety C-clasp.
