Another Great Auction
A group of vintage children’s books and small-format booklets, primarily dating from the early to mid-20th century. The collection features several titles by Beatrix Potter published by F. Warne & Co. Ltd., including The Tale of Peter Rabbit, The Tale of Mrs. Tittlemouse, The Tale of the Flopsy Bunnies, and The Tale of Ginger & Pickles. These volumes are small-format hardcovers with the publisher’s characteristic pictorial labels pasted to the front boards. Also included is a selection of landscape-format card-covered booklets comprising A Prize for Mary Mouse by Enid Blyton (illustrated by Olive L. Openshaw), Happy Christmas Honk by Joy K. Seddon, Master Bunny the Baker’s Boy by Molly Brett, and Muffin on Holiday by Neville Main. The group is completed by a Special Pocket Edition of Woodland Birds containing colour illustrations and an unidentified small brown cloth-bound volume.
