Another Great Auction
This lot comprises two ceramic items: a large footed bowl and a tall bisque porcelain figurine. The footed bowl is finished in a glazed earthenware or ironstone and is decorated in the English Chinoiserie style, resembling the Pekin pattern. The interior features hand-painted scenes of figures in traditional dress carrying pails on yokes, set between green lattice panels, floral sprays, and stylised trees. The rim is decorated with an ochre-coloured band containing a repeating geometric pattern. The second item is a 15 inch tall bisque porcelain figure of a youth in rustic attire. He is depicted wearing a broad-brimmed hat and leaning against a gnarled tree stump while holding an open basket. The figure includes light tinted details to the face and clothing.
