This lot comprises two decorative landscape paintings. The larger work is an oil on board depicting a rural sunset scene, with a path leading towards a wooden gate between two prominent trees. The painting is executed with visible brushwork and impasto highlights in the foliage and is indistinctly signed and possibly dated to the lower right corner. It is housed in an ornate swept gilt frame with foliate corner and centre motifs. The second, smaller work is rendered in a style reminiscent of 17th-century Dutch landscape painting, featuring a wooded glade with figures on a path. This piece is set within a deep, heavy-moulded gilt frame with shell and scroll ornamentation.
