Another Great Auction
A collection of silver-plated flatware in the Argyle pattern, manufactured in England. The assortment comprises a comprehensive service including various sizes of spoons, forks, and knives. Each piece is marked on the reverse of the handle with several stamps. These include the pattern name ARGYLE within a rectangular frame, followed by three circular punches containing the letter J, a star symbol, and the letter S. The items are further identified by a square stamp containing the letters EP over NS, for electroplated nickel silver, and a rectangular banner mark reading MADE IN ENGLAND. A large portion of the set remains in original protective plastic sleeves or paper wrapping.
