Another Great Auction
A collection of 20th-century ceramics and glassware featuring various decorative and commemorative items. The ceramic assortment includes a blue and white transfer-printed lidded jar in the Willow pattern and a selection of small lidded trinket pots and vases with polychrome floral motifs, including pieces by Royal Albert and Wedgwood. Also present is a group of royal commemorative mugs, including examples for the 1981 Royal Wedding of the Prince and Princess of Wales and the 2002 Golden Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II. One mug bears the printed inscription To Commemorate the Wedding of… 29th July 1981, and others are marked 1952-2002.
The glassware includes a large pressed glass bowl with geometric star and fan patterns. Contained within the accompanying box is a variety of clear glass vessels, including a pitcher with wheel-engraved style floral and wheat decoration, and several tumblers and footed vessels with diamond-cut and moulded designs.
