A cased set of two pairs of antique scissors by the renowned retailers Mappin and Webb, London. The set is presented in its original black textured leather case, which features a diamond-hatched pattern and a protective fold-over closure. The interior of the case is lined with deep blue velvet. The interior lid bears a gold-stamped maker mark consisting of a crown symbol above the name MAPPIN & WEBB, with LONDON stamped below. The set comprises two specialized instruments: one pair of scissors with sharp, elongated blades for precision cutting, and a second pair with shorter blades and rounded safety tips. Both pairs are constructed with polished steel blades and highly ornate metal handles featuring detailed cast relief patterns.
