Another Great Auction
A pair of naturalistically modelled polar bear figurines manufactured by Lladro in Spain. The set consists of two distinct poses: one bear is depicted in an upright sitting position looking to the side, while the second is in a reclined resting pose looking upwards. Both figures are executed in glazed porcelain with a high-gloss white finish, featuring subtle hand-painted grey and brown accents on the eyes and noses. The undersides bear the blue printed Lladro factory mark consisting of a bell-shaped logo topped with a crown, followed by LLADRÓ, HAND MADE IN SPAIN, and the copyright symbol © DAISA. One piece also features the incised mark G 13 – NO and other impressed artisan marks. Both bases have circular firing holes.
