Another Great Auction
This is a glazed porcelain figurine produced by Lladro, titled Practice Makes Perfect (also known as The Piano Lesson), bearing the model number 5462. The piece depicts a young girl with light brown hair seated on a wooden-style stool at an upright piano. The figure is wearing a blue and white bodice and a pink skirt decorated with a floral pattern. The piano features a sheet of music, two white candles, and a small vase containing multi-coloured applied ceramic flowers. The base is finished with a grey and white tiled design. The underside of the base contains a blue printed Lladro backstamp with a bellflower logo, reading Hand Made in Spain and DAISA 1987. Incised marks include the model number 5462, the characters J-9 G, and other smaller indistinct symbols.
