Another Great Auction
A nest of three oak tables in the Tudor Revival style, dating from the mid-20th century. The set comprises three rectangular tables of graduated sizes, designed to be stored one beneath the other. The construction is of oak with a dark stained finish, with the largest table top exhibiting prominent quartersawn grain and medullary rays. The largest table is detailed with a decoratively carved fluted frieze. Each table is raised on four baluster turned legs, which are connected by rectangular stretchers positioned low to the ground. No manufacturer’s marks or labels are visible, although a white auction lot tag bearing the number 682 is present nearby.
