A late 19th-century Victorian mahogany spider-leg gate-leg drop-leaf table. The piece features a solid mahogany top with two drop leaves, designed to form an oval surface when fully extended. The base is constructed with a spider-leg frame consisting of eight slender, ring-turned legs connected by matching stretchers. Support for the leaves is provided by a double gate-leg mechanism on each side. The wood displays a rich grain consistent with solid mahogany construction. No manufacturer marks or labels are visible.
