Another Great Auction
A Lladro glazed porcelain figurine entitled Little Jester, model number 5203. The piece depicts a seated jester in a pensive pose on a textured, grey-toned rectangular block. He is dressed in a traditional cream-coloured costume with brown pom-poms and a prominent white ruffled collar, wearing a pink knitted hat with a pom-pom. He is holding a small book on his lap. The base of the figurine features a printed blue backstamp consisting of a stylized bell logo above the word LLADRO, with the words HAND MADE IN SPAIN and © DAISA 1983 below. Incised marks to the base include the model number 5203, D-20 M, the numeral 5, and other symbols. This model was designed by sculptor José Puche and was first issued in 1984.
