Another Great Auction
A First World War memento comprising several partridge feathers mounted on a rectangular piece of off-white cardstock. The specimens are secured to the card by thin strips of paper glued horizontally across the shafts. The card features extensive handwritten documentation in blue-black ink providing provenance for the piece. The lower-left inscription reads FROM TAIL of PARTRIDGE. The central and right-hand sections are inscribed SHOT between TRENCHES in BELGIUM by Paul Bulteel SEPT: 11th 1915. This item represents a piece of battlefield ephemera or trench art from the Western Front.
