An 18 carat yellow gold gentleman’s signet-style ring, centrally set with a flat, oval-cut lapis lazuli tablet. The stone exhibits a deep, opaque blue colour characteristic of the material and is rub-over set into a heavy, tapering mount with a solid, polished finish. The item bears two marks stamped on the exterior of the lower shank, one within an oval cartouche and the second within a rectangular cartouche. The external placement of these marks and the specific tapering form are highly characteristic of designs by Georg Jensen, although the characters within the marks are not clearly legible.
