Another Great Auction
An Edwardian sterling silver pedestal bowl of plain hemispherical form featuring a reeded rim and raised on a short, stepped circular foot. The exterior of the bowl bears a series of British hallmarks including the Lion Passant for .925 sterling silver, an anchor for the Birmingham Assay Office, and a capital letter G in a square shield with clipped corners, which corresponds to the year 1906. A maker’s mark is present to the left of the hallmarks but is too worn to be clearly identified.
