An assortment of decorative objects including several soapstone (steatite) carvings. The largest soapstone piece is an irregularly shaped brush washer or tray featuring high-relief carved roses in shades of ochre and coral. Other stone items include a pierced vertical carving of birds amongst foliage and several smaller floral and foliate carvings in varying natural stone colours. The collection contains porcelain items: a vase with underglaze blue diaper patterns and overglaze enamel floral medallions; a fan-shaped lidded box with iron-red landscape decoration; and two white-glazed figurines, one depicting dolphins on a wave base. Completing the lot are two oversized polished stone dice, a carved cowrie shell with a profile in relief, and a metal walking badge in its original packaging. No maker’s marks or signatures are visible on the items.
