Another Great Auction
This lot features a vintage retail counter display for Blakeys Cricket Spikes, manufactured in England. The collection includes an original cardboard counter display box in a red, white, and green colour scheme, alongside several individual retail packs. The individual boxes are printed in red and white with script lettering and an illustration of a three-pronged spike. Text on the packaging identifies the product as for cricket but also ideal for golf. The display box contains instructional text for folding the flaps and promotional copy stating that the box will act as a splendid salesman when placed on a counter or in a window. Several loose metal spikes are also included, which are of a three-pronged design intended to be hammered into the soles of leather sporting footwear.
