A vintage ADM Teacher model mechanical pinwheel calculator. This mid-twentieth-century machine features a metal housing finished in a pale green hammertone paint. The calculator is operated by a side-mounted manual crank with a turned wooden handle. The interface includes a setting register with ten vertical sliders, each corresponding to digits zero through nine. The carriage, located at the front of the machine, contains an eight-digit revolution counter and a thirteen-digit result register. The machine is fitted with green plastic knobs for resetting the registers and shifting the carriage. The front of the main casing is embossed with the manufacturer and model name ADM TEACHER, along with plus and minus symbols. The internal components and carriage rails are constructed from steel. A directional arrow is embossed on the base plate.
