A single-light cast brass candlestick modelled as a mythical winged dragon or griffin in a dynamic crouching pose. The creature features an elongated neck arching forward to support a candle nozzle with a gadrooned body and a foliate-edged drip pan. The body displays detailed cast textures, including feathered wings and a scaled, segmented tail that loops back to form the rear support of the base. The dragon stands on three points: its two front clawed feet and the tip of its tail. The metal exhibits a natural aged patina with darkening in the recessed details and brighter highlights on the raised surfaces. No maker’s marks, hallmarks, or inscriptions are visible on the exterior surfaces.
