A vintage fly fishing reel manufactured by Hardy Bros Ltd of Alnwick, England. This model is identified by faceplate stamps as The Uniqua Reel and is constructed from cast aluminium alloy. The faceplate features concentric circular stamps reading MADE BY HARDY BROS LTD and ALNWICK ENGLAND, alongside THE UNIQUA REEL. Additional internal circular stamps provide patent information, reading PATENT NOS 24245 & 9261. The reel is equipped with a single dark composite or ebonite winding handle, a tapered metal foot, and a spool currently wound with green braided fly line. The faceplate incorporates a three-screw drum latch mechanism.
