A porcelain collector plate from The Beano Official Product Plate Collection, titled The Bash Street Kids. Produced exclusively for Danbury Mint, the circular plate features multi-panel transfer-printed decorations in a comic-strip style, depicting various characters from the long-running British comic strip. The central scene shows characters outside Bash Street School, surrounded by an outer ring of vignettes featuring individual characters and scenes. The plate is finished with a gilt rim to the edge. The reverse bears a printed backstamp in black including the official Beano product logo and text stating Licensed to the Manufacturer by D.C. Thomson and Co., Ltd., The Bash Street Kids, and A fine porcelain collector plate exclusive to Danbury Mint with a signature mark. Copyright information states Associated characters copyright D.C. Thomson and Co., Ltd., 2001. The plate is accompanied by its original paper Certificate of Authenticity and original polystyrene protective packaging.
