Another Great Auction
This lot comprises a collection of 14 hand-painted die-cast metal military miniature figures from the Del Prado Collection, accompanied by a miniature helmet model. The figures depict diverse European military units from the Napoleonic era, spanning approximately 1799 to 1815. The group includes 12 mounted cavalry figures and two standing infantry figures. Identifiable units based on uniform details and base markings include an officer of the British 1st Life Guards from 1815, as well as French Cuirassiers, Lancers, and Hussars. The figures feature historically accurate uniforms with shakos, bearskins, and plumed headgear, and are equipped with sabres or lances. Each figure stands on a textured integral base. The lot also includes a miniature model of a French 1811 Officer of Cuirassiers helmet. This model is finished in gold tones with a prominent black horsehair crest and is mounted on a green marble-effect rectangular base. A metal plaque on the base is inscribed with the French text Off. de cuirassiers 1811. The underside of the figure bases carry the copyright mark for the del Prado collection along with specific regimental identification.
