Another Great Auction
A collection of jasperware stoneware pieces, predominantly finished in sage green with a single teacup and saucer in light blue. The items feature characteristic white bas-relief sprigged decoration in the Neoclassical taste. Decorative motifs include various classical figures in Greco-Roman attire, sacrificial scenes, trees, and foliate borders including oak leaf and acorn patterns. The collection includes a large circular charger with a central circular reserve and a wide figurative border, a light blue teacup and saucer, a square dish with a single figure and foliate border, a heart-shaped trinket dish, an oval tray featuring a classical scene, a small circular lidded box, a small circular plate with several vignettes, a small footed urn with a flared rim, and a small circular plaque. While no maker marks are clearly legible in the provided images, the style, palette, and relief patterns are highly characteristic of Wedgwood production.
