A silver-plated cocktail shaker of three-piece ‘cobbler’ form, comprising a tapering cylindrical main vessel, a built-in perforated strainer, and a pull-off cap. The body is decorated in the Art Deco style with a series of concentric horizontal bands, including a central engine-turned diamond-hatched section and narrow reeded borders. The piece is of spun metal construction, and significant wear to the plating reveals a yellowish base metal, likely brass or copper. Indistinct maker’s marks are present on the shoulder of the main body but are too worn and tarnished to be clearly identified.
